hoogl
I've still not managed to do my July cook. 🤣 Just been too busy with work etc. I'll try and get one done August. If not I still like seeing others cooks.

I’ll be taking my Dutch oven with me in a couple of weeks when we go away for a few days. Looking forward to a break. Until then I’ve done a few on the bbq. Got some fillet steaks on there yesterday.

Justin
Yes, did admire your inverter at last tailgate. Anyway will put something on for first smoke on the ne Traeger ranger deli roast silverside beef, or smoked burgers, or smoked pork chops. Deciding.... Or this lol his type of generator is less efficient and more expensive than a gasoline-powered generator, but it’s superior in every other way. Using a TEG is a way to convert temperature differences into electricity. In a camping situation, the generator harvests some of the energy created from the temperature difference between two points. The beauty of this option is that you can use a TEG even in a wilderness situation by building a fire and using the banked coals for the heat source. The down side to choosing a thermoelectric generator is that they cost slightly more than gasoline generators. AdamG
For my entry i decided on something simple. I needed to be confident I could cook if I was camping. Just a cast iron flat plate, a dutch oven and whatever grill I would have....I say this because the only grill I have is a kamado and there would be no way I could take it camping due to the weight and size haha. Its beef bourguignon. Full write up is here if your interested... Edited August 7, 2022 by AdamG Added link
Smokin Monkey
That looks great @AdamG. Love the two stage cooking of the Beef, firstly searing it then cooking in Cast Iron, which is my favorite method of cooking!
AdamG
The cooking in sauce part would hopefully be my insurance that it turns out edible if I was camping😂🤣😂

Justin
Spare rib chops on Traeger Ranger apple pellet. Rub and sauce from Sauce shop, bbq sauce and original bbq rub. I found it a little sweet but nice enough

smokeyjoe
for a camping trip it would have to be the smokeyjoe and something simple so went with sheekh kebabs. for the kebabs, mince lamb, onion, garlic, red and green chillis and the following dried spices, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp corriander, 1 tsb garam masala, ½tsp turmeric, 1 tsp salt and 1 of black pepper. everything was chopped, mixed and stuck in the fridge till needed. today was a joint cook, my missus made the bread, it's a turkish flatbread recipe she does at least once a week, a mix of 2 flours, warm milk, yeasy, and the following spices are added to the dry mix to give the bread loads of flavour, salt, chilli powder, onion powder, cumin and corriander, garlic powder and black pepper. the cook itself, well the kebabs went onto the skewers and over the coals while the missus rolled the bread. then as soon as the kebabs came off it was on with the bread. i ripped the first bread but it still tasted good. the missus cuts her's and has a garlic mayo. me, well i'm more a "just jam it on and eat", and i take salad cream with mine, yup, might sound weird but it tastes good. thats it folks, thanks for reading, see y'all next month.👍 Edited August 29, 2022 by smokeyjoe 3

Not sure @Justin, just picked it off myself, no label, but what I will say, it had a bit of a Spicy Kick to it which I, and the rest of the people who tucked in enjoyed!
