Bbq scotch eggs

Last week I seen a youtube video of some scotch eggs done on the grill and thought I would give them a try😋

The youtube video was posted by Bald BBQ UK

These ones are done with a bbq rub rather than breadcrumbs, but still delicious. I smoked them with some oak. Next time I will try these I will aim for a softer yolk

I smoked them at 120C, however in hindsight...im thinking that will allow the heat to reach the yolks and cook them before the sausage meat is fully cooked🤔

Might shoot for 180C next time to get the outer cooked quickly...might be less smokey flavour though.

What do you think?

Not sure exactly of the time, im guessing about 50-60 mins🤔

Runny yolk is what I prefer but I wont say no to hard boiled, im guessing thats probably going to be the most challenging part of them...and getting a good smokey flavour
